Manuel Correia

Norwood – Manuel Correia, age 87 of Dartmouth, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Norwood Hospital. He was loving husband of 68 years to Evangeline (Arruda) Correia and the son of Maria and Albino Correia.
Mr. Correia was a lifelong resident of this area and worked at LVD Fisheries as a teenager then at Seaview Filet for 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Teamsters and enjoyed travelling in his RV.
Manuel served our country in the United States Navy during WWII.
His family includes his wife, Evangeline Correia, of Dartmouth; 6 children: Sharon Lewin and her husband, Stephen, of Dartmouth, Jeffrey Correia of New Hampshire, the late David Correia, the late Sandra Perry, the late Manuel Correia, Jr. and the late Susan Correia; 11 grandchildren: Lisa, Linda, Josh, Jimmy, Jessica, Jennifer, Kari, Christopher, Jamie, Lori and the the late Vicki; as well as 23 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Mr. Correia will be cremated. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church in Dartmouth on Wednesday, April 8 at 10:00 A.M. Those who would like to attend are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will follow at South Dartmouth Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
