Linda Jean Medeiros

NEW BEDFORD - Linda Jean Medeiros, aged 61 years of New Bedford passed away March 23, 2015 in her home with her family by her side after a 2 1/2 year courageous and hard fought battle with ovarian cancer. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her loving daughter Shelly Bolarinho and her husband Luis of Dartmouth; her loving son David Frias of New Bedford; three grandchildren Cassie, Logan and Hunter Bolarinho; her dear brother David A. Medeiros and his wife Suzette; lifelong family friend Dennis Campion; and two nieces Jennifer Houde and Sheri Husing, who is also her special godchild.

Linda was the daughter of the late Joseph and Pearl (Souza) Medeiros.

She was an employee of Lockheed Martin's Sippican Polaris Division. In her leisure time she enjoyed spending time with her family and her two Maltese, Lulu and Miley, whom she loved so much. She had a passion and worked hard at creating online support groups for those who sought comfort and awareness for Fibromyalgia, an illness she suffered from.

As per her wishes a private ceremony was held March 26, 2015 and she was laid to rest beside her much-loved parents at St. John Cemetery. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, Ma 02740.
