Rebecca Durant

New Bedford – Rebecca (Reynolds) Durant, age 85 of New Bedford, passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was a loving wife of the late Frank Durant and the daughter of Gertrude (Westgate) and Earl Reynolds.
Rebecca was born in Freetown, and has lived in the area all of her life. She worked as a Seamstress for many years until her retirement. She was truly loved by many.
Her family includes her 1 son: Joseph St. Pierre; 6 Grandchildren: Christine St. Pierre Saxon, Jason St. Pierre, Johanna St. Pierre, Rachel and Norman Posiviata, Bill Nastri (Rene) and the late Jeffery Gannon; 9 Great – Grandchildren, 3 Great great grandchildren, her nephew and caretaker John Wordell, nieces Bobbie Jo Simmons and Billie Jo Cardella as well as many other nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. 13 siblings predeceased her.
Rebecca will be cremated. A Memorial will take place in the funeral home on Sunday, March 22 from 12 - 3 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
