Rui F. Duarte

Boston – Rui Fernando Duarte died Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at Brigham and Womens’ Hospital. He was the father of Caitlan Marie Duarte, Kelsie Marie Duarte and Timothy Rui Duarte all of New Bedford, Mr. Duarte was the brother of Mario J. Duarte, Laudalino H. Duarte, Paul S. Duarte, Donna M. DaCosta, F. Grace Duarte and Elizabeth C. Duarte. He al;so leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and godchildren.

Mr. Duarte was born in St. Michael Azores, and lived in this area most of his life. He was a Master electrician and owner/operator of 3-D Electrical Contractors. Mr. Duarte was the son of the Humberto D. and Mariana (Carvalho) Duarte. Mr. Duarte was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School, a member of the Our Lady of Angels Band, and a member of the Master Eletricians Association. Rui loved music and his family.

His funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., New Bedford, MA., Saturday, January 22, 2005, at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. John the Baptist Church at 9 A.M. Visiting hours will be Friday evening only from 6 – 9 P.M.
