Carmin A. Goes

Fall River - Carmin A. Goes, 82, of North Dartmouth died Monday, January 10, 2005 at St Anne’s Hospital. He was the husband of Hilda (Alves) Goes. He is survived by 4 sons Carl J. Goes of Exeter,R.I., James Goes of No. Dartmouth, Michael and Kenneth Goes both of Westport, 6 grandchildren, 4 sisters: Caroline Cardoza of New Bedford, Ida Costa of Fall River, Beatrice Jackson and Alice Botas both of New Bedford, MA.. He was the father of the late Franklin Goes and brother of the late Bella Barros and Filento Goes and the stepson of Irene Goes

Mr. Goes was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all of his life, he was the son of the late Aurora (daCosta) Goes and the late Jose Gomes. He was a career First Sergeant in the U.S. Army Retiring in 1983. Mr Goes had worked as a postal clerk. He loved to play cards and work in his garden.

His funeral will be Friday, January 14, 2005 at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary’s Church S. Darmouth at 10:00 A.M. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, New Bedford, Ma. Family & friends are invited to attend visiting hours Thursday, January 13, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
