Manuel Sylvia

New Bedford – Manuel S. Sylvia died Friday, January 7, 2005 at Blaire House Nursing Home after a long illness. He was the husband of Mary P. Sylvia of New Bedford. He was the father of Eileen S. Bettencourt of New Bedford. He was the Brother of Rose Oliveira of New Bedford. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sylvia was born in New Bedford, Ma, and lived here all his life. He was the son of the late Manuel S. Sylvia and Rose (Cunha) Sylvia.

Mr.Sylvia was an Elevator Operator at the Duff Building.

His funeral will be Tuesday January 11, 2005, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church, on County St., New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Monday January 10, 2005 from 4-8 P.M. Burial will be at Rural Cemetery.
