Maria Izaura Pacheco

Maria Izaura Pacheco, aged 85, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on February 3rd, 2015 at the Royal Taber Nursing Facility. She was the beloved wife of the late Jose Pacheco. Maria was born in Saint Miguel, Azores. Maria was the daughter of the late Maria Do Christo and Manuel Cunha. Maria lived in New Bedford most of her life.
Maria was the loving mother of Angela Correia and her husband Bill Correia. Maria was also the loving grandmother of Tim Martins and his wife Katie. Maria was also the loving great grandmother of Timothy Martins. Maria was the sister of Fatima Correia, the late Lurdes Sousa, Jil, Joe, and Manuel Cunha. Maria worked at Cliftex Clothing most of her life. Maria's favorite pass time was knitting blankets for her friends and family.
Her funeral will be Saturday beginning in the funeral home at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 – 8 P.M. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
