Dina Medeiros

New Bedford – Dina Medeiros, age 85 of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, January 1, 2015 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of John L. Medeiros and the daughter of Maria (Trindade) and Joao Furtado Tiburcio.
She was born in Ribeira Quente, St. Michael, Azores, moved to this country in 1961 and worked as a Laundry Room Supervisor at Seacrest Hotel.
Dina was the mother of the late Steven Michael Medeiros, she is survived by her sisters: Elidia Silva and Delfina Amaral, as well as abrother in law, sister in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Maria Medeiros, Lupercia Medeiros, and Ester, Joao and Egidio Tiburcio.
Mrs. Medeiros funeral will be Tuesday beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 – 8 P.M.
