p>New Bedford - Alberto DeMelo, 74, of New Bedford, died Friday December 17, 2004, at Hallmark Nursing Home. Mr deMelo had 7 Children Natalia Tavares, Joao DeMelo, Jose DeMelo,Lizete Fonseca, Ligia DeMelo, Enio DeMelo and Luis DeMelo, many Grandchildren and Greatgrandchildren Sisters Constantina Duarteand Irena Oliveira Brothers Anton DeMelo, Alfred DeMelo several nieces and nephews.

Mr DeMelo was born in St.Michael, Azores and lived in this area for about 38 yrs,. He was the son of Alexandre and Constantina (Irmaos) DeMelo. Mr. DeMelo worked as a machine operator at AFC Cable and also was a Self employed carpenter and landscaper,

His Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, December 21, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:30 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St. New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Monday, December 20, 2004 from 6 to 9 P.M.
