Natividade M. Mirao

Dartmouth – Natividade M. Mirao, age 94 of Dartmouth, formerly of New Bedford, passed away, peacefully, on Sunday December 14, 2014 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth. She was the widow of Joao Gil and the daughter of Raquel (Matoso) and Joaquim Mirao. Born in Fiqueira da Foz, Mrs. Mirao immigrated to this country 17 years ago.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family.
Her family includes her daughter, Maria Raquel Espada and her late husband, Antonio, of New Bedford; 2 granddaughters: Antonina Espada of New Bedford and Yvonne Vieira and her husband, Mark, of Acushnet; 2 great grandsons: John and Matthew; as well as a brother in-law and several nieces and nephews in Portugal.
Natividade is predeceased by 5 siblings.
Her funeral will be Wednesday beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 AM and continuing with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 AM. Cremation will follow. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 PM. Arrangements placed in care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth Street in New Bedford, MA.
