Joseph Oliver

Marion - Joseph “Double Clutch” Oliver, died Monday, December 13, 2004 , at Sippican Health Care Center in Marion. He was the lifelong companion of Agripina Rebelo of New Bedford and father of the Anna M. Rebelo of New Bedford and Nanciann Jones of Maine. He was the grandfather of Melanie Medeiros also of Maine. He was also the brother of Tony Oliveira of Colorodo, David Oliveira of New Mexico, Alice Sylvia of Arizona, Mary Leite of California, Lucinda Frias of California, Hilda Viera of Dartmouth.

Mr. Oliver was a truck driver for Comet Express. He was the son of the late Francisco Oliveira and Marianna (Medeiros) Oliveira and lived in this area most of his life.

Mr. Oliver’s funeral will be at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. Friday, December 17, 2004 at 8 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, New Bedford at 9 A.M. ; Visiting hours will be Thursday, December 16, 2004 from 7 - 9 P.M.. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery.
