Margarida (Lemos) Neves

New Bedford - Margarida (Lemos) Neves, 72, of New Bedford, died Sunday, December 12, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital. Mrs. Neves was the wife of Manuel G. Neves, the mother of Manuel I. Neves of Puerto Rico and Maria M. das Neves of Darien, Ct., the loving grandmother of Nicole das Neves of Puerto Rico and Emma Hawkins of Darien, Ct. and sister of Maria Silveira of Fairhaven and the late Joao Lemos. Mrs. Neves also had several nieces & nephews.

Mrs. Neves was born in Pico, Azores and lived in this area since 1971. She was the daughter of the late Joao and Maria (Candias) Lemos. Mrs.Neves worked as a quality inspector for Columbia Electronics until her retirement.

The Funeral for Mrs. Neves will be Wednesday, December 15, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Rivet St. New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, December 14, 2004 from 6 - 9 P.M. at the funeral home.
