Antonio A. Vieira

Antonio A. Vieira, 65, of Acton, ME passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 in Lebanon, ME. Born in Murtosa, Portugal he lived most of his life in New Bedford, MA and most recently in Acton, ME.
Antonio was in love with the ocean as he has spent most of the past 30 years out at sea. He had recently retired from the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration after 18 years of distinguished service.
Antonio was extremely loving and proud of his two daughters Amy Vieira and LeeAnn Vieira-McDonough. He reveled in the time he spent with his grandchildren Ryan Gonneville, Zachary, Mason, Tabbitha and Gabriella McDonough.
He was also survived by 2 brothers Miguel and Manuel Vieira and 3 sisters Maria Rebello, Lucellia Almeida, and Ana Maria Vieira.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. There will be visitation prior to the Mass from 9:00 – 10:00 A.M. Cremation will follow. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, Ma.
