Peter F. "Parson" Cruz

New Bedford - Peter F."Parson" Cruz, 78, of New Bedford, died Monday, December 6, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital. He was the life long compainion of Delores P. Gomes of New Bedford. The father of Marie E. Robinson, fiancee of Lawrence Tobey,Donna Rosa of New Bedford and Deborah Ramos wife of Gary J. of Mattaposisett. He was the brother of Grerude Fermino of New Bedford, and the late Antone "Bozo" Cruz. Mr. Cruz was the grandfather of Cory Rosa, Tanner Rosa, and Rosemary Ramos. He was the uncle of Steblla Ribeiro of Fairhaven and Bruce Daivs of California.

Mr.Cruz was born in New Bedford. He was the son of the late Joseph R. and Isabella (Gonsalves) Cruz. He was in the Mechant Marine as a seaman during WWII serving in the combat zone.

His funeral will be Friday, December 10, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, New Bedford MA. at 10:00 A.M. burial will follow at St. John Cemetery . New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours are Thursday, Decmber 9, 2004 from 4 - 8 P.M.
