Edward Rogers died Sunday November 28, 2004 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Barbara (Braga) Rogers of South Dartmouth. He was the father of Brenda Andrade of Westport, Steven Rogers of Dartmouth, Robert W. Rogers and his companion Kathleen Botelho, of Dartmouth, and Edward Jr. and his wife Mary Anne Rogers of Dartmouth. He was the brother of Ernest, George, Raymond, and Robert Rogers all of Dartmouth, William Rogers of South Carolina and Judith DeSouza of Dartmouth. He was also survived by 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews, and a godchild Robert Braga Jr.
Mr. Rogers was the son of the late Antone and Edith (Perry) Rogers. He was born in Dartmouth and lived in this area all his life. He was a heavy equipment operator with Tilcon Construction Corp., until his retirement. He was a Member of the Portuguese American Social Club of South Dartmouth. He was a Private First Class with the U.S. Army during World War II.
