Evelyn W. Sylvia

New Bedford – Evelyn W. Sylvia, age 91 of Dartmouth, passed away, peacefully, on Monday, August 4, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the loving wife of 71 years to Lewis J. Sylvia and the daughter of Mary (Couto) and George Winderlick. She was born in Dartmouth and was a lifelong resident of this area.
She was a very caring and nurturing woman whose love for children was expressed by fostering several of them in her lifetime.
She is survived by her husband, Lewis, of Dartmouth; 2 children: Anthony L. Sylvia and Lori Sylvia, both of Dartmouth; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was predeceased by 3 siblings.
Arrangements were private and placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
