New Bedford – Mary Lou Marks, age 56 of Fairhaven, passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, July 27, 2014. She was born in New Bedford and was the daughter of the late Lucy (Felix) and the late Joseph Marks. She was employed as a Kindergarten Teacher at St. Anthony’s Elementary School which she loved very much, and also worked at Paragon Travel Agency.
Her surviving family includes her loving sister, Tracey Francis and her husband, Scott, of Fairhaven; 2 nieces: Neely and Carlie Francis; an uncle, Daniel Felix of New Bedford,an aunt, Louise Coulombe, a cousin, Cecelia Felix of New Bedford; as well as her friend, Russell Pimental of New Bedford.
She is predeceased by 2 uncles: Antone and Joseph Felix; 2 aunts, Elsie Felix and Dorothy Correia, and a cousin, Anthony Felix.
The family of Ms. Marks would like to thank the staff at Fairhaven Community Nurse and Hospice for the care and attention they gave to her.
A Mass of Christian Burial with her cremated remains present will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church beginning at 8:30 A.M. Friends and family that would like to attend ceremony are asked to meet directly at church. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
