New Bedford – Aniceto A. Cabral, age 70 of New Bedford, passed away on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. He was the son of the late Maria (Alves) and Luis Cabral. Mr. Cabral was born in Mosterios, St. Michael, Azores and immigrated to this country. He worked as a Machine Operator at American Flexible Conduit until his retirement.
He leaves behind her 8 siblings: Manuel Cabral of Fall River, Jose Cabral of Dartmouth, Alda Medeiros of New Bedford, Gilda Vasconcellos of New Bedford, Fernanda Jacob of Dartmouth, Maria Jose Matues of New Bedford, Tereza Almeida of New Bedford and Bibiana Cabral of New Bedford. He was also survived by several nieces and nephews. Aniceto was the brother of the late Almerinda Alexandre.
His funeral will be Tuesday, July 1 beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. and continuing with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Monday evening from 4 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
