Jose M. Santos

Boston – Jose M. Santos, age 59 of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He was the loving son of Maria L. (Salvador) Santos and the late Manuel Santos. Mr. Santos was born in St. Michael, Azores, moved to this country in 1960 and worked as a Cutter at Ronnie’s Manufacturing for many years until his retirement.
He is survived by his Son, Joshua Santos, of New Bedford; 1 grandson: Ethan Santos of New Bedford; 6 siblings, Maria D. Curvelo, Rosa Pimentel, Berta Medeiros, Gilberto Santos all of New Bedford and Louisa Amaral of Dartmouth and Antonio Santos of Acushnet; as well several nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be Thursday, June 12 beginning in the funeral home at 9:30 A.M. and continuing with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Cremation will follow. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are welcomed to attend. Please omit flowers.
