Tiago Oliveira Bravo

New Bedford – Tiago Oliveira Bravo, age 78 of New Bedford, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the loving husband of Madalena (Ferreira) Bravo and the son of the late Maria Lurdes (Furtado) and Joao Bravo. He was born in Povoacao, St. Michael, Azores, moved to this country in 1968 and worked for Payne Cutlery Factory making Scissors.
He is survived by his wife, Madalena, of New Bedford; 1 son, Robert Carlos Bravo and his wife, Debra, of New Bedford; grandchild, Cooper J. Bravo; 1 brother, Jose Bravo, and several godchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Maria Fatima Fernandes.
His funeral will be held on Friday, May 30 beginning in the funeral home at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will take place in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be in the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
