Fernando Neves

Fernando Neves, age 84 of New Bedford, passed away, peacefully, on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Sacred Heart Home. He was the husband of Lucilia (Gordinho) Neves and the son of Elisa Goncalves Costa (Lima) and Teodoro Candido Dias Neves.
Mr. Neves was born in Porto, Portugal, moved to this country in 1974 and worked at Knapp Shoe Factory until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Lucilia; 6 children: Rui Neves of Fall River, Mary Jo Pine of N. Dartmouth, Grace Leite of Florida, Maria Neves Botelho of New Bedford, John Neves of New Bedford, and Ana Neves of New Bedford; as well as 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 sister in Portugal, 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
Services are omitted. Burial for Mr. Neves will take place in Porto, Portugal. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
