Rosa A. Costa

Fairhaven – Rosa A. Costa, age 98 of Fairhaven, died on May 7, 2014 at Alden Court Nursing Care & Rehabilitation Center. She was the loving wife of the late Iduino Costa and the daughter of the late Maria and Horacio Sabino. She was born in Salga, St. Michael, Azores, after moving to this country she worked as a Floor Lady at Cliftex Corp.
She leaves behind her son: George Costa, husband of Otilia "Tilly" of N. Dartmouth, two grandchildren: Kevin Costa and Kristy DeSouza and two great grandchildren: Aubrey and Makayla DeSouza. Rosa was also the sister of Alsina Costa of Canada, the late John Sabino, Arthur Moniz and Jose Sabino.
Her funeral will be Saturday, May 10 at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, beginning at 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:45 A.M. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home prior to the Mass. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
