New Bedford- Alice (Sylvia) Cruz of New Bedford died Saturday November 6, 2004 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of Joseph Cruz. She is survived by her two daughters Elaine Roderick of Acushnet and Jean Eaton of New Bedford., 7 Grandchildren, 20 Greatgrandchildren and 4 Greatgreatgrandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins

Mrs. Cruz was born in New Bedford, the daughter of Isadore.and Mary (Avellar) Sylvia She lived in this area all of her life. Mrs. Cruz had worked as a Housekeeper at St. Lukes Hospital for 30 yrs..

The funeral will be Wednesday November 10 at 9 AM from Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9:30 A.M. with Funeral Services at St. Martin Church, at 10 AM. Burial will be in Padanaram Cemetery, So.Dartmouth, Ma. Visiting hours are Tuesday November 9, from 6 to 9 PM
