Lisa P. Depina

New Bedford – Lisa P. DePina, age 47 of New Bedford, passed away, unexpectedly, on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born in New Bedford, where she spent all of her life, the daughter of Antoinette DePina and the late Paul Fortes. Lisa worked briefly as a Retail Clerk for Filene’s. She was very close with her family and was known by them as a loving, happy soul. She was also the jokester of the family. She will be missed by all that were fortunate enough to know and love her.
She leaves behind her mother, Antoinette, of New Bedford; a daughter, Tayli Ferran of New Bedford; her grandmother, Louise Oliveira of New Bedford, 6 siblings: Paula Poole of Amherst, Ma, Donna Duarte, Lori Ann Fortes, Stephen Fortes, Robert Perch and Charles Perch, all of New Bedford; stepmother, Mary Fortes, of New Bedford as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Ms. DePina’s funeral will be held Monday, April 7 beginning at 8:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Assumption Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5 – 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
