New Bedford – Broderick “Brody” William Sylvia passed away, unexpectedly, on Thursday March 27th, 2014 at Home. He was born at St. Luke’s Hospital on January 13, 2014 weighing 7lbs 12oz, 21 inches long. Brody was a strong boy from birth with a very curious nature. He gave so much indescribable joy to his family especially his loving parents and sweet brother. His love and legacy will live on in his family’s hearts including the heart he gifted to another child.
He is survived by his parents, Matthew and Meagan of New Bedford, his brother, Emmett Sylvia; paternal grandparents, Michael and Martha Sylvia; maternal grandparents, Scott and Tammy Boutin of New Bedford; paternal great grandparents, William and Sharon Sylvia of Freetown; maternal great grandparents, Joseph and Lillian Brown of New Bedford; great great grandfather, Andrew Brown of New Bedford, aunts and uncles: Calvin and Corvus Sylvia, Richard and Jessica Wagner, Joseph Wagner, and Robert and Janeatta Boutin, as well as many cousins, great aunts and great uncles.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Sandra Sylvia.
There will be a Memorial Mass for Broderick on Saturday, April 5 at St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Rd. East Freetown, at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are omitted. Arrangements were placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
