Daniel Edward Decambra

Fall River-Daniel Edward DeCambra died Friday October 29, 2004 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. DeCambra was the husband of Marcelle Claire (Vaillancourt) DeCambra. This past October 12th marked their 53rd anniversary. He was the father of David E.,and his wife Maureen A. DeCambra of Somerset, MA. He was the grandfather of Derek E. and Marc D. DeCambra of Somerset, MA. He was the brother of Cora Silvia of Swansea, MA., John P. DeCambra, and Lawrence DeCambra both of Somerset, MA., Constance “Connie” Haase of Texas, and Hilda Hartnett of Newburyport, MA. He was the brother of the late Eugene, Anthony, and Francis DeCambra, Rena Souza, and Christine Alonzo. He is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.

Mr. DeCambra was the son of the late Antone and Mary (Rego-Costa) DeCambra. He was born in Somerset and lived in the Somerset area all his life. Mr. DeCambra was Self-Employed Proprietor of Danny’s Floor Covering, as well as the co-owner of the Dighton Par 3 Golf Course, and co-owner of Imperial Floor Covering in Taunton. He was a lifetime member of the Taunton Elks-Post#150, he used to enjoy camping, and traveling, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Mr. DeCambra was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday November 1, 2004 at St. Patrick’s Church Somerset, MA. Family and Friends are invited to meet at St. Patrick’s Church for the 10 o’clock Mass. Visiting hour at the Families request will be Sunday October 31st from 7-8 P.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. New Bedford, MA. 02740
