Lidia Dutra

New Bedford – Lidia Dutra, age 85 of Dartmouth, died Wednesday March 12, 2014 at St Luke’s Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Richard M. Dutra. Born in Dartmouth, she was the daughter of the late William Cabral Sr. and Mary (Dias) Cabral. Lidia was a graduate of Dartmouth High School and worked as a bookkeeper for the Town of Dartmouth for many years.
Her surviving family includes her 2 sons: Philip R. Dutra of Dartmouth, Robert J. Dutra and his wife Rose of Dartmouth. She was also the mother of the late Richard S. Dutra; 4 grandchildren: Scott Dutra and his wife Maureen of Dartmouth, Kerri Dutra-Kelly and her husband John also of Dartmouth, Kasey Dutra of San Francisco, CA and Alex Dutra of New Bedford; 4 great-grandchildren: Jack and Rylie Dutra and Abigail and Ryan Kelly; 1 sister: Venna Mason of Fairhaven and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother William Cabral Jr.
Her Funeral will be held Saturday morning at the funeral home beginning at 8:45 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary’s Church in South Dartmouth. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
