Sandra Coimbra

New Bedford – Sandra Coimbra, age 38 of New Bedford, died unexpectedly Wednesday February 19, 2014 at St Luke’s Hospital.

She was the wife of Victor Moniz and the loving daughter of Maria E. (Barao) and Luis Coimbra of New Bedford. Born in São Miguel, Açores, Sandra moved to this area when she was 2 years old.

Her surviving family includes her parents, Maria and Luis of New Bedford, her husband, Victor Moniz, her daughter Sephra Moniz; a sister Natercia Teles, a brother Octavio Coimbra and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Her Funeral will be held Tuesday morning in the funeral home beginning at 8:00 A.M. with a Religious Service to begin at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Acushnet Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Monday evening from 6 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
