Gabriel Dias

New Bedford – Gabriel Dias, age 74 of New Bedford, passed away on Monday February 3, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in the Azores, the son of Lorinda (Andrews) and Silvino Barcelos and, after moving to this country, worked as an X-Ray Technician at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Gabriel enjoyed watching western movies as well as martial art films, dining out and going to flea markets.
He is survived by his loving companion, Carmen Henriquez of New Bedford as well as four children.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, February 6 in Rural Cemetery at 11:00 A.M. Friends who would like to attend the service are asked to meet directly at the cemetery. Arrangements are placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
