Emily V. Azevedo

Emily V. Azevedo, age 98, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2014 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Arthur Azevedo.

Born in Dartmouth, she was a life-long resident of this area and worked as a Winder at Cornell Dubilier until her retirement.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing and listening to old-time country music.

Emily is survived by her son, Paul Azevedo and his wife, Nancy, of Dartmouth and her sister Georgianna Bettencourt of New Bedford.

She was predeceased by her 3 siblings: Antone Almeida, Joseph Almeida, Mary Arruda and Manuel Almeida

Mrs. Azevedo’s arrangements are private and have been placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
