Carlos Moses Rodrigues

New Bedford – Carlos Moses Rodrigues, age 54 years, died, unexpectedly, on December 31, 2013 at his wife’s home in New Bedford. He was the loving husband of Charlene M. Cruz. He was born in Praia, Cape Verde Islands and was the son of Beatriz R. (Rodrigues) Baptista and the late John Gonsalves. Carlos volunteered his time at MO Life Food Pantry on Pleasant St. in New Bedford. In his leisure time, Carlos enjoyed music and having a good time with his family and friends.

His surviving family includes his wife, Charlene of New Bedford; his mother, Beatriz of New Bedford; 2 brothers: Nathan Rodrigues and his wife, Maria, of Warwick, R.I. and John Gonsalves of New Bedford; as well as 2 nieces and 1 nephew, several cousins, aunts and uncles.

Mr. Rodrigues’ funeral will be Wednesday, January 8 at 9:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford with a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Assumption Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday evening in the funeral home between 5 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
