Alvaro Branco

Dartmouth – Alvaro Branco, age 78, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 22, 2013 at his home in South Dartmouth. He was the loving husband of the late Maria (Pereira) Branco and the son of Maria (Cabral) and Antonio Branco. Alvaro was born in St. Michael, Azores, immigrated to this country in March of 1971 and worked as a Solderer at Leonard Silversmith + Co.
His surviving family includes his son Edward Branco and his wife, Maria, of New Bedford, 2 grandchildren: Breanna and Jessica Branco, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Branco’s funeral will take place at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, on Friday December 27 with a Religious Service to commence at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 – 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
