Maria Daconceicao Pacheco (Desousa) Alfaiate

New Bedford – Maria daConceicao Pacheco (deSousa) Alfaiate died Tuesday October 5, 2004 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the widow of Jose Pacheco Alfaiate. She was the mother of Manuel Pacheco Alfaiate, Jose Pacheco Alfaiate, Jorge Pacheco Alfaiate, and Artur Pacheco Alfaiate, all of New Bedford, Maria Pacheco Cabral of North Dartmouth, and Francisco Pacheco Alfaiate of Fairhaven. She was the sister of Emilia Bilhoes Correia, and Honorina Medeiros, both of New Bedford. She was also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Alfaiate was born in Salga, Saint Michael, Azores and lived in this area for the last 38 years. She was the daughter of the late Manuel Pacheco and Evangelina (Duarte) deSousa.

Mrs. Alfaiate was a trimmer at New England Pleating, until her retirement.

His funeral will be Friday, October 8, 2004, from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 9 A.M. with a Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church, on County St., New Bedford, MA. Visiting hours will be Thursday, October 7, 2004 from – 6 to 9 P.M. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery
