Victor Gonsalves

Boston-Victor Gonsalves died Wednesday October 6, 2004 at Boston University Medical Center. He was the loving husband of Virginia (Faria) Gonsalves. He was the father of Victor and his wife Natalie of Fairhaven, MA., and Jeffrey and his wife Cynthia of New Bedford, (proprietor of J.C. Auto of New Bedford). He was the beloved grandfather of Heidi, Jeffrey II, Shayna, and Adam, and loving great-grandfather of Devyn, Tre-Sean, Nevaeh, and Jayela.

He was the son of the late Frank and Julia (Faria) Gonsalves. He was born in New Bedford and lived in this area all his life. He was employed at Goodyear Rubber & Tire as a spreader for 32 years. He retired in 1978. He was a Staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II.

The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday October 9, 2004 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery. Family and friends are invited. Visiting hours will be from 2-4P.M. and 7-9P.M. on Friday October 8, 2004
