Mildred "Millie" Maccord - Costa

Marlboro - Mildred "Millie" MacCord-Costa, age 73, died peacefully at Marlboro Hill Health Center after a long illness. She was the beloved widow of James MacCord. She was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Dolores (Marzan) and Juan Solis Reyes. After moving to this country, she worked as a Fish Cutter at Parisi Seafood.

Her family includes her 3 children: James Milton MacCord, Jr of Suffolk, Va, Jo-Ann Pacheco of Plant City, Fl and Richard MacCord, Jr. of Webster, Ma; longtime companion John de Almeida; as well as 11 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her grandson, Richard MacCord, Jr.

Millie's funeral will be at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford on Tuesday, December 10 beginning at 9:30 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will take place Monday evening in the funeral home from 6 - 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
