Georgia K. Rose

New Bedford – Georgia K. Rose, of Dartmouth, age 75, passed away peacefully on Monday November 18, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. She was the loving wife of 58 years to Raymond S. Rose. She was born in New Bedford, a daughter of Mary (Francis) and George K. Brown and lived in this area all of her life. Georgia worked at Cornel Dubilier where she rose through the ranks throughout her tenure with them. She began as a Winder, then was promoted to Supervisor and finally was promoted to Foreman. She was a member of The International Management Council and enjoyed travelling to California, Las Vegas and Mexico.
Her family includes her husband, Raymond of Dartmouth; 3 siblings: George K. Brown, Jr. of New Bedford, Sharon Fareas of Fairhaven and the late Shirley Buchanan; 5 nieces and 3 nephews living in Maine and 1 niece in Fairhaven.
Visiting hours will take place in the funeral home on Thursday, November 21 from 6 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friend are invited to attend. Cremation will follow. Arrangements are placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
