Rosemary (Reed) Samson

New Bedford – Rosemary (Reed) Samson died Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Royal Taber Street Nursing & Rehab Center. She is the wife of Lucien Samson of New Bedford. She was born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Ruth (Lackey) Reed and Leonard Reed.
Rosemary was the mother of James "Jimmy" Leandre and Debra Ann Leandre, both of New Bedford, and Rosemary Martin of Freetown. She was the sister of John "Butch" Reed, George Reed, Ralph Reed, Deborah Viveiros, Bette Reed and Ruth Domingos, all of New Bedford, and Mary Goring of Michigan. Rosemary is predeceased by her daughter, Donna Ann Leandre, and her siblings: Carol DeMello, Sandra Embleton, Alan Reed and Leonard "Porky" Reed. Rosemary is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Samson will be cremated and the burial of her cremains will take place at the Massachusetts National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements have been placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford.
