Manuel A. Dafonte

New Bedford- Manuel A. daFonte, age 53, died on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. Manuel was born in Pico, Açores, a son of the late Jorgina (Abreu) and the late Guilherme daFonte. He worked as a packer at Cameo Curtains.
His surviving family includes his 5 sisters: Margarida Sequeira of Dartmouth, Norberta Evangelho, Maria daFonte, Adelaide Couto and Odilia Sequeira all of New Bedford; 2 nephews: Steven and Joe Sequeira.
Manuel was predeceased by his nephew Brian Sequeira.
Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial of cremains at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Saturday, October 19 at 8:45 A.M. Interment of cremains will follow at St. John Cemetery. Arrangements placed in the care of PERRY FUNERAL HOME 111 Dartmouth St in New Bedford.
