Regina Dalomba

Regina DaLomba, formerly of New Bedford, age 95, passed away on Monday September 23, 2013 at Eastpointe Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Chelsea following a period of declining health. She was the beloved widow of Augosto Da Lomba. She was born in Brava, Cape Verde, a daughter of Eugenia (Silva) and Henrique Garcia. She moved to this area in 1992 and was a dedicated homemaker to her loving family.
Her surviving family includes her 3 children: Benilda DaLomba of East Boston, Antonio DaLomba and Jaime DaLomba, both of Portugal; as well as 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Mrs. DaLomba was predeceased by 3 children and 2 twin siblings.
Regina’s funeral will be Friday beginning at 8:00 A.M. at PERRY FUNERAL HOME, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Assumption Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Rural Cemetery in New Bedford. Visiting hours will be Thursday evening in the funeral home from 6 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
