Vitaline "Vi" R. Rezendes

Dartmouth – Vitaline “Vi” R. Rezendes, formerly of New Bedford, age 90, passed away on Sunday August 18, 2013 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth after a period of declining health. She was born in New Bedford, the daughter of Lydia (Perry) and Joseph Rezendes. Ms. Rezendes was a life-long resident of this area, attended Sacred Heart School and worked at Aerovox as well as Acushnet Company Golf Division as an Inspector until her retirement in 1991 at the age of 68. Vi loved to crochet, do puzzles, play bingo and travel with her friend Dottie. Ms. Rezendes also enjoyed attending all of her family functions.
Her family includes her 2 sisters: Jean Oliver of North Scituate, RI and Jacqueline Levesque of Westport Ma; as well as several nieces and nephews and her extended family of caregivers at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth.
Vi was predeceased by her two brothers: Joseph and Edward Rezendes.
In accordance with her wishes, Vitaline will be cremated. A Funeral Mass with her cremains present will take place at St. Mary’s Church in Dartmouth on Friday, August 30th at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours are omitted. Family and friends are invited to meet directly at the church.
