Christine Valentino

New Bedford –Christine Genshur Valentino, 83, of New Bedford, Ma died Saturday August 3, 2013, at Southeastern Rehabilitation Center in New Bedford after a long illness. She was the beloved widow of Luiggi Valentino.

Born in Clymer, PA, daughter of Michael and Julia Genchur, Mrs. Valentino was a devoted volunteer Bible teacher. After graduating from the Watchtower School of Gilead in 1954. She served as a volunteer missionary in Brazil for 22 years with her husband, Luiggi Valentino. After moving to New Bedford in 1986, she was a zealous teacher of Bible truths devoting over 120 hours a month helping hundreds in the community with their understanding of Bible principles, history and how practical Bible counsel is for our days.

Survivers include her sister in-law Betty Genshur of Pennsylvania, a niece Margy Stains of Pennsylvania, a nephew JD Parker of Texas, a sister in-law Lydia Weidnar of California and her cousins Emil and Barbare Figliola of Ohio Joyce McCann ,Carol Houston ,Amy Genchur and Cheryl Parker of TX, Nephews J.D. Parker - TX , Gary Genchur of PA, Tim Genchur ,Clifford Genchur as well as great nieces & nephews.

In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated. Funeral Services and Memorial Talk for Mrs. Valentino will take place on Monday August 12, 2013 at 5:00 P.M. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 742 County St. New Bedford, Ma 02740
