New Bedford- Ernest Raphael died August 28, 2004 at Home with family and friends at his side.He was the husband of Phyllis B.(Maxcy) Raphael of New Bedford. He was the son of the late Pauline (Przybyla) and Joseph Rafael.He is survived by 2 sons David and his wife Christine of Seminole Fla. And Michael Raphael and his Fiancee Jeanne Winnett. 3 Daughters Janice Raphael of New Bedford, Nancy and her husband Gilbert Santos of S. Dartmouth .Phyllis and her husband Fred Lima of New Bedford. Adopted Daughter Laura Gregoire . Grandchildren Christopher, Jason, Jennifer, Bradford, and Joshua. 2 Stepgrandchilren Ron and Tracy. 3 Great Grandchildren. 1 godchild Joseph Raphael, 1 Brother George Raphael of California, 1 sister Vivian Gillette of California. He is also survived by several nieces, and nephews.

Mr Raphael loved woodworking, stained glass work, and gardening.He also loved spending time with his Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.

Mr Raphael was a Superintendent at Teledyne Rodney Metals.

The funeral Mass will be Wednesday September 1, 2004 at St. Mary’s Church So. Dartmouth at 10 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited. . Visiting Hours are Tuesday August 31, 2004 from 5-8 P.M. Burial at Massachusetts National Cemetery.
