Donald Perry

New Bedford – Donald Perry, age 87, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Mr. Perry was the beloved husband of Elizabeth "Betty" J. Perry of New Bedford. He was born in New Bedford a son of the late Agnes B. (Souza) and Joseph Perry Jr. He lived in this area all his life and worked as a Physical Therapist at St. Luke’s Hospital until his retirement. Donald was a proud Veteran of the US Navy whom served during WWII; he was also a member of the Mount Carmel Seniors.
His survivors include his wife Betty; their daughter: Lisa Donahue wife of John of Raynham; 3 grandchildren: Kelsey, Erin and Jamie Donahue; 5 siblings: Paul, John, Guilford, Raymond and Elaine Perry as well as several nieces and nephews.
Donald was predeceased by 3 siblings.
Mr. Perry’s funeral will be Friday, July 19 at 9:30 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5 – 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
