Virginia "Ginny" Boswell

New Bedford – Virginia “Ginny” Boswell, age 74, passed away peacefully, on June 2, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital after a period of declining health. She was the beloved wife of David Boswell. Born in New Bedford, she is the daughter of Alice (Lavoie) and Arthur V. Blain. She was a lifelong resident of this area and worked as an Inspector at Acushnet Rubber Company until her retirement. She loved doing word searches and spending time with her loving family and friends.
Her survivors include her husband David of New Bedford; 3 loving children: David M. Boswell and his wife Samantha of Fairhaven; Stephen Boswell and his wife Linda of New Bedford and Colleen Boswell of New Bedford; 2 sisters: Anita and Pauline Blain, both of New Bedford; 9 grandchildren: Heather Boswell, Michael Boswell, Scott Boswell, Devon Boswell, Christopher Boswell, Brent Boswell, Kaylin Boswell, Aaron DeMello, Jr. and Trevor Beauvais-Warr; 2 great grandchildren: Ariyah and Emma Boswell; as well as 2 Godchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her son Daniel A. Boswell.
Virginia’s funeral will be Thursday, June 6 at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St., beginning at 8:45 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
