Margaret M. Verissimo

New Bedford- Margaret M. Verissimo, age 87, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 at her home in New Bedford. She was the beloved wife of the late Manuel Verissimo Jr. Born in New Bedford, she is the daughter of the late Sarah (Gelder) and the late Edward Morrow. She has lived in this area all her life. Margaret worked as a solderer for a local electronics factory.
Her survivors include her sons: Edward T. Verissimo husband of Anne of Acushnet, Scott M. Verissimo of Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Shannon McCormack wife of Sean of Las Vegas, NV, Matthew T. Verissimo husband of Emily of Kittery, ME, Sarah Shuster wife of Jason of Nashville, TN, Kevin T. Verissimo husband of Dina of N. Providence, RI; great grandchildren: Eli Shuster, Conor Verissimo as well as several nieces and nephews
Mrs. Verissimo is predeceased by her daughter Joann Paiva and brothers Edward Morrow Jr., James Morrow and Robert Morrow.
Her funeral will be Friday, May 24 at 9 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. in New Bedford with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James Church, at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday evening in the funeral home from 4 – 8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
