Nancy Duval

New Bedford – Nancy A. Duval, age 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday April 30, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Ronald T. Duval. Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Agnes (Sylvia) and Antone Morris, she lived all of her life in New Bedford. She was also the sister of the late David A. Morris.
Nancy was the loving mother of Gregory N. Sylvia and his wife Danielle of East Freetown, and the stepmother of Robert M. Duval and his wife Catherine of Concord, Ma. She was the beloved grandmother of Carter R. Sylvia of East Freetown. Nancy was also survived by her sister in-law Deborah A. Morris of New Bedford, nephew Scott D. Morris and his wife Michelle of Harwich, nieces Jessica Pacheco and her husband Barry of New Bedford, Ashley Morris and her fiancé Jason Fredette of New Bedford. She was also the great aunt of Peyton Morris, Paige Morris and Adyson Pacheco.
Nancy was a homemaker who worked in the family bakeries before her retirement. She loved and cherished spending time with her grandson Carter. She enjoyed traveling to New Hampshire, decorating her home for each season of the year and all holidays. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading, doing jigsaw puzzles and was always searching for that “special item” on QVC.
At her wishes, Nancy’s remains will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of cards and flowers, we ask that a donation be made in her name to the South Coast Cancer Center in Fairhaven, Ma.
