Antonio T. Cardoso

New Bedford-Antonio T. Cardoso age 67 years died Saturday, April 27th at St. Luke’s Hospital with his family at his side. He was the beloved husband of Alice M. (Miranda) Cardoso. Antonio was born in Redial, Chaves, Portugal, the son of Adelaide (Teixeira) and Manuel Cardoso. He, along with his family, moved to this country in September of 1969 and worked as a Laborer at Modern Continental Construction. He was a loyal member of Clube Recordacoes de Portugal. He loved to watch his favorite soccer team, Benfica, as well as spending time with his loving family especially his grandchildren. .

His survivors includes: his wife, Alice; his two children Melissa Cardoso and Joaquim Cardoso, both of New Bedford; 3 brothers: Jose Cardoso, Joaquim Cardoso and Adalberto Cardoso; 2 sisters: Amelia Cunha and Irene Cardoso; 4 grandchildren: Joshua, Mikayla, Sommer and Jarrid Cardoso; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cardoso’s funeral will be Wednesday at 8:45 A.M. at Perry Funeral Home 111 Dartmouth St. with a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church New Bedford at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Tuesday in the funeral home from 5-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited
