Susana Raposo

Susana Raposo, formerly of New Bedford, age 80 years, died Saturday, April 27th, 2013 at The Royal of Fairhaven after a period of declining health. She was the beloved widow of Jose Raposo. She was born in São Miguel, Açores, the daughter of Maria (Sousa) and Arsenio Porto. She, along with her family, moved to this country in 1966 and worked as a Stitcher at Paul Modes, Inc.
Her family includes her two sons: Joseph Raposo of Fairhaven and Victor Raposo of Somerset; 6 siblings: Virginia Raposo, Diamantina Martins and Lucy Medeiros all of New Bedford, Victor Porto of Arizona, the late Joao Porto and the late Manuel Porto; 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, Mrs. Raposo will be cremated. Arrangements placed in the care of Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth in New Bedford.
