Jose Cravo

New Bedford – Jose Cravo, aged 75, died Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Maria (Bettencourt) Cravo who passed away in 2010. Jose was the loved father of Jose Cravo of New Bedford, Maria Ferreira of Holiday FL, Sandra Amaral of New Bedford, Steven Cravo of Bradenton, FL and Susan Morad of Rochester. Mr. Cravo is also survived by his sisters; Evelyn DaSilva of California, Maria L. Linhares of Dartmouth, Josefina Soares of New Bedford; as well as 7 grandchildren.
Mr. Cravo was the son of the late Maria Leal (DaSilva) and Jose Cravo. He was born in Catalina, Pico, Açores, Portugal and lived in this area since 1974. Jose worked as an Engineer for Brittany Dye.
Mr. Cravo’s funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Friday, March 29, at 8:15 A.M. with Liturgy of the Word and Final Commendation at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 9:15 A.M. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Thursday from 4-7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited.
