Mariana C. Dos Reis

Westport – Mariana C. dos Reis, aged 94, died Wednesday, March 13 at her daughter's home in Westport with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Luis dos Reis who passed away in 2011. Mariana was the loved mother of Lucia Almeida, Miquelina Fonseca both of Dartmouth, Maria E. Pacheco of Westport, Maria Fatima Delgado, Cecelia Junier both of Dartmouth, Jorge Reis of New Bedford, Jose Reis, Americo Reis and Luis Reis all of Dartmouth. Mrs. dos Reis was the sister of Maria do Rosario Reis of Portugal and the late Jose Antonio Reis. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. dos Reis was a daughter of Mariana daConceicao Reis and Jose Jacinto dos Reis. She was born in São Miguel Açores, and lived in this area since 1960. Mrs Reis worked as a stitcher for Langshore Manufacturer. She was an avid reader, loved to crochette and loved being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren
Mrs. dos Reis’ funeral will be from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. on Saturday, March 16, at 9:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow at South Dartmouth Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Friday from 5-8 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited
